They. had their 100 win season in 21 but it didn't matter they flamed out in first round. Not a diehard fan of anyone or team but am born and raised in Northern CA.  Melvin doesn't get the job done. He's mediocre. Best work was with Oakland and low expectations. Posey is one of the best ever and smartest. He will bring in his guy. Bochy obviously comes to mind but does he want to continue. There are other guys like first base coach and former teammates Posey has on his list. Right move. Melvin is better than Kapler but doesn't make the number of right moves a guy like Bochy does more times than not.
