Yes, pretty disheartening as a cubs fan. I’m thinking Boyd can ball out and maybe keep them competitive enough for 1 W. Imanaga has been bad. Curious what cubs management decides to do with the staff. Taillon has been pretty good since coming back in the second half, but don’t like that these are all day games and the temperature will be warm in Chicago. Night games and cooler temps benefit taillon as a fly ball pitcher. Hopefully counsel has a short leash on anybody after Boyd and I can see the bullpen being relied on. If Horton was there, the cubs at home, take the series. Not feeling good about it now.
We’ll see what happens. Maybe counsell will play some chess and earn his pay check.
one thing is for sure, nobody is expecting anything from this team with Horton out for at least the first 2 series
