That place was bonkers electric. The fans were otherworldly. Extremely disappointing performance by the Toronto bats in what I felt was a MUST WIN game if they were to be champions.
they’re fucking cooked in game 7. The pressure will be too much.

Yes but that wedged ball? r u kidding me? there’s probably a 1 in a million chance of that happening ever again.

That was the game they had to win. That was it.
Their hot streak just ended and in the worst circumstances starting with the ball getting lodged in the padding. The game could have been tied at 3.
Clement then hit the self destruct button.
What we have seen from Toronto has been momentum with no pressure or expectation. That has now been taken away from them. They are not going to like or are suited to what they are about to face.

They’re not cooked in Game 7. They’ll win the game UNLESS…..their manager again blocks them from achieving victory. He’s already done that twice in this series. The Blue Jays should have become the third team in the last nine years to hoist the trophy on the Dodger Stadium infield.

Excellent post. Agreed. It’s over for TOR.

Very true. I’m not sure what to make of that. The baseball gods don’t like underdogs. Sad.

You think Max Scherzer give em hell tomorrow ? I have not placed a wager but leaning LAD.

Men on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and a new pitcher comes in and what does Clement do? He swings at the first pitch!!! Even in the little leagues you make the relief pitcher throw a strike before thinking of swinging. I would've had Clement bunt in that situation anyways. Oh well, game 7 tomorrow.

Then end the game on another base running mistake. Was that 3rd base coach giving him the green light to advance to 3rd? Clement was in a hurry to be hero.

If the ball doesn’t get lodged and bounces, they score one run and they still lose the game choking like that. Thats the new “Hero” baseball they play. Sink or swim. Swing for the fences no matter what. You take first pitch all day every day and especially in the World Series. I’ve seen high schoolers run the bases better than the Jays. They honestly deserve to lose. I thought they would get to the pen, but they failed. Blue Jays fans saying it wasn’t a Ground Rule Double don’t know ball. Yes why the hell do the Canadians have a wall like that still? It’s their own damn fault.

After that play, we'll see if they redesign it. What a fucking way to lose.

Toronto bats were silent for the most part because let's not forget: Good pitching stops good hitting, the dodgers starter was awesome, but his 1st reliever was kind of shaky with control problems. The way I see it I give the dodgers center fielder some credit for the win when he raised his hand up when the batted ball got stuck under that wall in center field, I mean if he went after that ball and picked it up it probably would have been one run scored with man on third with no outs and toronto would have been in good shape to at least tie the game or win it outright.
But it became a ground rule double with man on third and second. Then dodgers manager made a good move and brought another reliever in who got the first guy he faced out with a pop up to first. Then we all know what happened to the next batter...he hit a blooper to left field and the dodgers fielder ran his ass off to catch the ball and the bone head toronto runner on 2nd got doubled up at second that ended game...whoa..what a finish!
