Interesting game. Utah St has the 12th best Total D on paper, but a deeper look reveal that of the 9 FBS teams they've played, those team average just 370ypg, which would qualify for 92nd in the nation. So that stat is a bit misleading, and I think La Tech will be able to move the ball on Utah St.

Flip side, La Tech is just awful on D. If you include the 4 provisional FBS teams, La Tech's D would rank 123 out of 124, with only Baylor having a worse defense. Utah St.'s offense is nothing to write home about, but even the most mediocre offenses could score regularly on this defense.

I lean La. Tech on the side, but my official play is the OVER.

I had the same thought, here: if you look at UTAH ST schedule they have only played one decent offense in SJST.  This game gets close to 100.  LA TECH offense scored under 44 once this year: 70.5 is a joke.  Hitting the over large

Can't believe you're getting +3 with Lou Tech at home...

Theie only loss was in a shootout with Tex A& M & Johnny Manziel who  just ran all over the field that game..I agree with the above comments where Utah St hasn't played anyone...will they be able to stop Lou Tech high powered offense in my opinion...No....does Lou Tech have any D...no....OVER 70 looks really good here too...

Give me Lou Tech +3 at home all day

happy to be in the minority on this one...


interestingly, both of these teams have shared the last 3 opponents, and they are 3 of the worst teams in CFB... these are the respective avg. scores for each team, during those 3 games...


Utah St:  42-10
La Tech:  52-32


yea... LT put up a few more point... but the glaring number there is 32 points allowed to 3 of the worst teams in CFB...


this will NOT be a close game... i have literally bet on LT all but 1 game this year... it is time to jump ship and take advantage of a great misperception:  that this team is ANYTHING but horrible!

even the LT offense has gone south since their best offensive weapon (Tevin King) went down for the season... they have become far too one-dimensional...

Utah St should be able to put up 50+, and LT will not be able to keep up...

Utah St (-2.5) is my play...

bet it within an hour of the line coming out... opened at LT (-3) originally, but was hammered the other way very quickly... i expect the line to close at Utah St (-3.5)... smart people realize that LT is fade material...

I was originally feeling Tech at home was the play but they just haven't been playing the same ball the last few weeks. State's D should just be a little too much for Tech IMO..

I took the OVER 71.5 for a reason is that LT has a horrible defense.  I know UTS can score so if LT score 28 points then the over will go.

Even Texas State put a crazy number of points against LT.  LT's offense doesn't give in though.  Just look back to the Texas A&M game, LT was down by a sizable margin but managed to score a shit load of points in the 2H of the game.  We'll see if it happens tomorrow.

i would tend to agree with this... i think if LT gets to 28 you should get the over, and maybe they will only need around 24... i think you'll be sweating it out, though... we'll see...
