Just a few ponderings in case anyone's interested, though I'm not playing any of these myself.
Kansas St. (-3) vs. Iowa St. - Farmageddon takes place across the pond. Wildcat revenge from last year? Maybe, but Matt Campbell has gotten the better of Chris Klieman lately (4-1 SU, 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings). 'Clones are 6-2 ATS as a dog away from Ames the last three years, while K St. is 3-9 ATS as away chalk over the same three year period. Leaning towards Iowa St. but I need to see improvement in their run defense before I get involved.
KANSAS (-12' down from -14) vs. Fresno St. - First true home game since '23 for Jayhawks in remodeled Memorial Stadium. New Bulldogs HC Matt Entz is the latest successful N. Dakota St. Coach to take his talents to the next level.
WKU (-10 up from -8') vs. Sam Houston - Too many new faces to make an educated guess here, but take note that this is the first of 12 road games for the Bearkats. With Bowers stadium under renovation their "home" games will be played about 80 miles away in Houston.
HAWAII (-2' flipped from +2') vs. Stanford - Huge line swing in this one. I was leaning towards the Rainbow Warriors as a small dog, but they've never beaten the Cardinal (0-4) and are a historically horrible home favorite (1-16-1 over the last ten years). But you can't hardly back Stanford here either, a team that's in transfer portal Hell, off four straight 3-9 seasons, with an interim HC in Frank Reich. No thank you.

I took Hawaii +10 two years ago when they played Stanford and got burned. As bad as Stanford has been the last four years, they're 6-6 SU and 5-3 ATS the first three games of the season and now they're a dog that nobody wants. Maybe I'm being overly cautious here, but there are better games to choose from the following week. For instance, while I tend to avoid FBS-FCS matchups, IF Iowa St. beats K St. in Ireland this coming weekend they face a good South Dakota team in Week Two with arch rival Iowa on deck. Potentially a huge flat spot there. As far as Hawaii though, I ain't playing it but I'll be root for you to hit it JJ. BOL!

Sam Houston defensive players from portal have little experience. That qb from Albilene Christan should have a great day for the Hilltoppers.
Neither team has much in the way of returning production, and while Sammy is breaking in a new head coach WKU has new coordinators on both sides of the ball. Too many unknowns for me personally. I'm gonna keep my money in my pocket until next week. BOL UNIMAN

'Clones run D doesn't appear to be any better than it was a year ago. 78 yards allowed in the first quarter doesn't bode well for this game or the season.

Nice win for Iowa St. They only allowed 32 yards on the ground for the final three quarters, and Matt Campbell has now covered six straight against Chris Klieman.
