Penn St should smother Rutgers. They have no deep threat passing and their running game is only mediocre. They have 37 total points vs Iowa, Ohio St. Minnesota and Michigan....I think 10 points is their ceiling tomorrow. Clifford and crew should enjoy good field position all game. I'm no James Franklin fan, but I think this matchup is just one he can't mess up.....I backed Rutgers last week, but that was a fade of Mich St off a big win and being overvalued....and sure enough, Mich St allowed Rutgers to cover in a game that shoulda been a massacre....Scarlet Knights won't be so lucky vs the Nittany Lions.....Penn St 41 Rutgers 7
I will also add....Penn St is currently ranked #11 in the polls.....if they barely win vs Rutgers and/or Mich St they could easily be leapfrogged and end up outside the top 10.....Now, we all know rankings don't mean anything.....BUT....they DO mean something to individual programs.....If you don't think James Franklin wants to end the season in the Top 10 you're crazy.....somebody in front of them will lose for sure in the next 3 weeks and Penn St will slide right in if they take care of business....
