Goes back a little further but it does seem to me that many coaches are now very aware of the spread. Same thing happened to me last week cant remember  the exact game but expect to see more and more of it. peace_5

Wisconsin did it to Michigan 2 weeks ago kicking a needless FG the last 2 mins to make the score 24-10 to cover the 16-pt spread.  And Michigan tried their hardest to score in the last few seconds to cover by running the ball twice near the goal line with less than 20 seconds left.

Happened against me in the Thurs night Tulsa game. I was cringing thinking oh no a TD but they kicked a fg only lost 41-27 and put me on the wrong side of the 2h play. Mercy!

  Put the spread on the scoreboard at the start of the game, instead of 0-0. That will end all of the fishy, suspicious accusations but that's not going to happen. If a team tries to cover the spread for people who bet them, what's wrong with that? As gamblers, isn't that what we're seeking?  Different scenario now with rampant gambling throughout the sports industry. Old days it was taboo to discuss gambling/ spreads on TV, now it's in your face via advertisements, commercials, announcers commenting etc..

Cignetti should have never kicked the field goal up 35-10. Why kick a meaningless field goal and risk anything when you could get a first down and end it. Game was over at 25. He tried winning by 28 instead of 25.
