I am on Iowa State today and not thinking twice. The line held firm despite public lean toward Cincinnati—books respect the Cyclones’ metrics more than the market does.
This is a trench game, and Iowa State’s front seven will expose a shaky Bearcats O-line. Cincy’s QB play has been erratic, and against a defense that brings disguised pressure, that’s a problem.
Narrative edge? All Cyclones. Campbell’s squad is locked in, covering three straight and playing with identity. Cincinnati’s still figuring it out post-Fickell, and Iowa State is the wrong team to do that against.
Better defense. Better coaching. Sharper team. This is a conviction play.
