Imagine Abandoning Your Team Amidst a Potential NC Run

11-1 with a chance and your coach shits on you. Even if he coaches team is a lame duck. Its disgusting. Would love to see the team sue him and take all his money. Coaches and players are sickening. Plkayers now get free college and get paid and they abandon their teams too lol

He has every right to do that.

Big difference   They opt out on bullshit bowls. He is a grown azz man always telling them how he loves them. Without them he wouldn't of got that new job. 

The "rumor" is that it got heated between him and the AD and Chancellor because he was adamant that he wanted to finish what they started this year with his players and wanted to take part in the playoffs with this squad. He even asked for it to go to a vote to the players.

The AD and chancellor don't want him around as they see it as free advertising for LSU.  His response to the AD and co is that since he isn't allowed, he is taking everyone from this squad when they enter the transfer portal after he leaves.

So yes he is leaving, but it sounds like he really wanted to finish this with his team and not abandon them.

That said - I don't blame LK (too much) - he's just a punk that is emblamatic of our times.  Meaning he's just another wh*re - so what.

Here IS a boomer take ha - back in the day, a beatdown would be very appropriate.  Eg. -  DEQUAN FINN, who quit his team in the middle of the season (Miami, O - playing for MAC title) - would get his azz beat - BAD.  If I read that some drunk fans delivered a solid azz whipping to any of these coaches - taking another job BEFORE the season was over.... I would laugh my fat azz off.   

imagine a coach taking you to levels your program has never seen. He takes a job at another school willing to pay him 10x the money but wants to coach in playoff and school says "no".

He's did a great job at Ole Miss no doubt - but what has he won? (to be considered this elite HC)

NOTHING - plus note Hugh Freeze beat Bama and finished in the top 10 - back to back 10-3/9-4.  Check out that NC schedule : toughest team he's played? Louisville in 2021 - Tulane - GT.

His best team in 2024 - with play-off hopes - fell apart down the stretch, losing to sorry Kentucky (home), Fla, and LSU.

LOW expectations he's great.  HIGH ones? - not good so far.

Why on earth would ole miss allow him to continue coaching when he is leaving for a rival in same conference. Totally different from what Tulane is letting their coach do he is leaving for Florida not a Tulane rival. And from real reports not the espn(Jimmy sexton caa bias) the players council were the ones who told him to get the hell out, since he ghosted them all trying to get in touch w him. Coach Satan(yes I said it guy leaves as soon as others can do what he had been doing at bama for yrs) and Kirk(I take my orders from my agent who represents lane as well) are clowns in this whole thing. Coach Satan fired him as o coordinator for taking the fau job before playoff game and Kirk as a buckeye I’m sure you would have no problem letting day coach if he said he was leaving for Michigan after playoff. But hypocrites gonna hypocrite and talking their orders from agents and bosses not have real opinions at that network.

Bowl games are meaningless, unless it's a playoff game. Lane Kiffin has done this crap before. Never have been a big fan. Contrast him with Jon Sumrall, Eric Morris and Bob Chesney, coaches who are moving on to bigger programs but are sticking around with their current teams as long as they're in the running to play for a title.
