I don’t understand ND -4.5

I think that line should be double digits. Arkansas has the worst defense I have ever seen. They don’t tackle or wrap up or even hit, they literally try to grab you by the jersey and pull you down. Notre Dame is a hard nose run first team. There is no way Arkansas will slow them down.

sone people have lost confidence because the last few seasons Znotre Dame has given them that confidence to cover.  This game is a give back to Notre Dame bettors.  They should smash only to set up bigger lines and notre dame failures.

Take Norte damnation as a gift with low spread.  They are good at beating weak teams n struggling with ranked teams.

They started the year all funky but they have turned it up a notch with beating a cupcake school last week.  

Arkansas can't compete with ND.  It'll be over by half time.

the nd d is pretty bad as well, to be fair. probably a lot of points in this one. 

And the earths flat…no conspiracy here on setting up lines for future anything imo.  Let’s stay on this planet

ND homer here.  Our D coaching has been horrible this year.  Miami and Texas A&M are good teams, and the losses close, but those games should have been a win for ND with more competent D coaching.  Wrong personnel on the field, bad schemes, and guys out of position.  Also, some poor tackling.  We struggle to get off the field on 3rd down (including 3rd down and long) Our top CB is also dealing with an ankle injury and is questionable.  It was also unfortunate to draw our toughest games in weeks 1 and 2 because we lost SO MUCH D personnel from last year - guys playing in the NFL this year.

The D has been historically good and I think the team took that for granted imo this year.  The O-Line play has also struggled, although better last week.  

ND has hit the over all year, and that was my instinct here.....BUT word is that Coach Freeman has been very actively involved in the D this week and is spending a lot of time focusing on D improvement.  I have to think they will improve on the field because of it.  As a homer, I also didn't want to be in a position where I was rooting for Arkansas to score.  

We SHOULD handle Arkansas so I love your bet (and, again, I am a homer).  I just wanted to give my thoughts about why the line may look this way.

 I agree here, but the problem is that too often the line says Arky is the play. It's like a shiny hook begging for a nibble. I have/had Arky in the bottom 3 of the SEC, but this line is just one of those smelly lines. I'd be more inclined to take ND -14.5

Arkansas homer here. I believe the Hogs offense is the real deal. Green is highly underrated imo and his small but athletic receivers catch the football. Bobby Petrino is one of the best OC's in the country so I don't think we will have problems putting points on the board. However, our defense is really, really bad. A lot has to do with effort (missed tackles, penalties, etc), but overall I think it's just a subpar group. Minus a couple under two minute fumbles and our record might be 4-0.

Although I love Coach Pitt, his seat is on fire right now. I don't know the record off hand but he is very bad in one score games.That all being said, Coach Pitt is a players coach and I think they might rally around him for this one. 

The line itself seems fishy too. I feel like it should be around 7-10 so I'll wait around to see if it climbs closer to a touchdown before I make a move to take the Hogs.

Hogs are great as a home dog.   N.Dame shouldnt lose this game.  Im going to look for Price and Love to have a big game. Love could get 150 if he gets enough carries
