I know Mateer is still out. But UT is a dumpster fire right now.
Is Vegas crazy or do they know something?

What's the deal?
Even with Mateer, I think the Horns are the better team. OU lost most of their offensive production from last year and replaced them with players from the SWAC. OU was the beneficiary of some bad calls or they wouldn't have beaten Auburn in Norman. UT lost by 7 at Ohio State, they lost in the swamp, that is it. The fact that the unranked team is favored tells you that UT is better than what talk radio is claiming.
Manning will NOT:
1. Have a good game
2. Handle the pressure of this game
3. Handle Oklahoma’s defense
Texas is favorite because it’s home, Manning still a household name, Oklahoma’s star QB is out, and rivalries season records do not matter.
Texas season is over and they will be playing in the pop tart bowl or something.

Before the Mateer injury - OU would be a 3-4 pt favorite probably. He is worth a full 7 points to the spread. So you subtract - then adjust for how the game will be bet.
* IF the Horns played well/won vs Fla - the line would be 4 or so - they didn't - so it's 2'/3. simple

Texas is the better team? How is that even possible? Heck, I'm an LSU fan and can't for the life of me figure out how they moved up to #13 in the rankings. I feel LSU would beat Texas but not Oklahoma. Manning isn't just playing bad- he flat out looks lost out there and I wouldn't trust him to win a big game right now. The line says differently but I don't see how anyone can bet one side of this game with any confidence.

Manning or Michael Hawkins?
The winner will have to throw, run/ convert on 3rd down. Hawkins might be a better passer? Texas is bottom in the country in pressure rate allowed too...

I think it should be a good game. I just think there are so many unknowns. The spread is weird though. The same way that LSU is favored by 9 over S. Car. I'll stay away from both games but it'll be hard for me not to absolutely put a big play on S. Car. plus the points.

Come on man, get the emotion out of it…They lost by 7 at the shoe to the current #1 team in the country, and list at the Swamp by 8 to a preseason Top 15 team…against a team desperate to win…Sure the expectations of Texas were insanely too high…in part due to the Manning hype…Texas has burned me as well…But for the degenerates to say Texas is “garbage” indicates that they don’t know a thing about this Texas team and college football in general… I would recommend better options on the board than this coin flip rivalry game…If Mateer is truly out, then Texas should win, but this is not a game that I will bet on..,
