CFB Picks and Why 12-23-25

We hit Wash st yesterday - record stands at 4-1.   We got 3 games today - let's look at some numbers:

Smiss.    51 97 111 114  

Wky opened as -3 fav., currently -1 or -2 for Smiss. (madduxsports.com) .   Wky is better in total off at 46 vs 51; Smiss is just barely better in total def at 97 vs 98; Wky is better in Sagarin rank at 98 vs 111 and Smiss is better in Sched strength at 114 vs 140 .   

They are playing on a neutral field, and when you look at history with this scenario and an opening line of -3 for the top team - often the bottom team takes it straight up.  We are dealing with opt outs and other variables that can cause disruptions to the patterns so you want to becareful.   The issue with many of these things - it's hard to quantify many of the disruptions-thus - i'm sticking with my numbers and Smiss.

2.  Smiss -1   -112 

3. Ohio +6.5
