WHY?.....it's a tremendous resource.....10 year ATS record for every college and NFL team....all neatly done.....very easy to access....> all in alphabetical order

* plus he's a Cover's guy too

DON'T GET CONFUSED.......

* a simple tout?....hated by most here for some strange reason...NOPE....probably THE top technical handicapper in the US

* ELIMINATING the technical side?........"why should I care".....whether Zona is 16-1 ATS with rest....vs a team off a SU/ATS win......only costs you money.....you don't have to PLAY ON / FADE.....because a trend supports it.....gotta consider how a team usually performs in a given 'SPOT'......dontcha?

eggzamples:

Petrino has NEVER won vs AP top 15

AF has only covered 2 of last 14 games after Navy or Army

Ark St...after game 6?.....38-9 SU / 33-14 ATS

Buffalo...vs winning teams? >> last SIXTY games 6-54 SU / 21-38-1 ATS

DUKE...4-5 SU vs ranked teams....0-47 BC (before Cutcliffe)

SJSU....all or nothing (previously)....SU winner is 33-4 ATS

TCU...after a losing season (2)....GP is 11-1 and 12-1

A&M...after a SU loss...KS is 1-13 ATS

ULL...13-3 ATS as dog vs winning teams

UTEP...when facing BETTER teams > outgained in stats ...15-45-2 ATS (9-54-1 SU)

Wazzu....covered 10/11 as conf road dogs vs winning teams

WKU.....covered last 5 RSW totals

Ole Miss.....Freeze is 15-1 SU / 14-2 ATS as non-conf favorite

I agree, Lawrence does some nice work, and at some point you have to ask yourself how much is your time worth... I think some ppl need to put their ego aside and realize that if you wanna be decent at betting, it's beneficial to pay for information.

It's a beautiful thing when you learn something like South Carolina is 0-8 ATS 1-7 vs ACC in past eight road openers while NC State is 8-0 ATS in home opener, 8-0 ATS when favored by less than a TD, and 6-2 ATS vs SEC

(Those are just made up numbers, but just wanted to give an example of how useful the information is, and what a pain in the behind it normally is to check all of these possible angles)

I'm definitely going to check out the Playbook Magazine, but have to ask a question about a stat provided above:
Petrino has NEVER won vs AP top 15
UL: 2004 Boise State
UL : 2006 WVU and Wake Forest
Arkansas : 2010 LSU
Arkansas: 2011 South Carolina, K State
UL: 2016 FSU

Maybe I missed something, but I'm not sure where the information came from with the 0-8 record. All the teams listed above were in the Top 15 when they played UL or Arkansas and finished inside the Top 15 in the Final AP poll.

got me man.....Playbook is about  as technical as I wanna get...*reckon you get MORE of his database....like lifetime ATS records for every coach.....guess that's why he doesn't update it on his website......  *main feature?.......extremely high% angles....tweaked several times.....sometimes 90-100 %......BUT you gotta find 'em then.....OR purchase his weekly newsletter.......Like.........home dogs that scored 40+ in their last 2.....are 78-42-4 ATS...........  *IF.....they won and covered those 2 as well....they're  32-13-2 ATS.  ***  AND make it 3 games?.....21-6 ATSAND.....if their opponent (now road favorite).....allowed 14 or more their previous game.....16-2 ATS.............................SO.....if you're smart enuff to design a program that spits that stuff out.....great.......... (NOT ME).........................

$ don't just memorize the trend....AX yourself....what does it mean?
*screw the TREND....after all......we're looking for the SPOT

Best HC off a loss?.....pp 98-99 in Playbook ( I use Team Rankings too)....since 2011

* Shaw at Tree (11-4 ATS)......why not look for a loss > see who's next?....................How 'bout week 2 at USC...
*BTW Tree has covered 9 of last 11 as a dog too....USC is 0-3 ATS vs Tree (p 217 Playbook)

BEHOLD.......woulda you just look at who they (Tree) have next.....
*San Diego St.......but wait you say....SDSU is pretty damm good wtf son ?????

TRUE.....but NOT in THIS SPOT.........SDSU 11-20 ATS in non-conf......and 1-9 ATS as a (<14) NC dog

* WHY ?.....Rocky Long plays for MTW titles / he picks his spots.....and they have a road game with Arizona St the week before

$$$ $ TRUST ME......he does not want back to back huge efforts vs NON-CONF opponents.....they play Zona St tough or win?....Tree is gonna beat their azz......esp if they lose to USC....

* they beat USC?.... and /or SDSU gets killed by Zona St? > you walk away no worries

AND.....speaking of MTW play....he has a conf game with AF the following week (guess what > he ain't covered the week before conf play begins yet (0-6 ATS)

Tree......play well on the road?......you bet (22-11 ATS away / 17-9 as road favorite)

NOTE: UNDER....is a strong trend here as well.....
* Tree - 10-25 O/U away.....7-19 if favored....5-10 O/U off loss too
* SDSU- 12-18 O/U in non-conf games (7-13 run)

POINT ; see how much of an advantage you have by viewing the match-up this way.........in advance?

*as opposed to sitting down the week of the game......trying to break down the MATCH-UP only?

Of course.....you still look hard at the match-up......but what we've done is identify a nice (potential) psychological EDGE....

$$ that ALSO....probably won't be reflected in the OPENING number................

Playbook is one of the few i pickup every year. A few years back a national radio show up here had a daily "covers expert" segment that was roughly 10 minutes long. The expert (someone different most days), would basically give his leans on the night, followed by a free play and then a plug of their own site. Not that the other experts didn't know their stuff but Lawrence really came across as a next level type capper to me. I have bought the playbook every year since and really enjoy it.

might work.....but I (think)....you should get a better number if things work out as planned.....  *SDSU plays Zona St tough / USC beats TreeThinking 6'-7 depending.......to get to 9-10.....SDSU would have to get spanked by ASU...and/or Tree beats USC... or plays them very tough.......???  *in that case I might back off anyway....But tough to say at this point ................
