having humility and knowing when to slow down is one of the biggest parts of being a long term winner. Well done
That's a great point. I have messed up in the past after several really good weeks by ignoring my inner voice that says this is the time to preserve profits and slow down and instead I go full speed ahead and get rocky and add too many games. Its a mental battle to know when to attack and be aggressive and when its time to preserve profit

For me it's been after a good run, I have one bad beat and then start chasing that loss and within a week or two give back 100% of my gains for the past 3 months. Regression always comes and it always starts in the form of a bad beat like you were 95% to win a big bet and somehow you lose. It always follows with like 10 straight losses after that. I've done this 3 times in my life, and that's probably 2 times too many. Now when I have a good run, I take 50% of the winnings out and put it away in long term stocks/bonds
