Bama should NOT be in the CFP

The committee got everything right except putting the Crimson Tide in over Notre Dame. Noooooo, not after losing to a 5-7 Florida St. team, not after barely surviving against 5-7 Auburn, and not after getting their ass handed to them by Georgia for the SEC title! The Irish barely lost two games to quality opponents to start the year, but have smashed every team since, and would smash Alabama right now on a neutral field. And I'm not even a Notre Dame fan. End of rant.

I agree with you that Bama shouldn't be in. But my only thing with ND is they didn't do themselves any favours with scheduling. They had 2 games this year (and granted it was only by 4 points) but they lost them. The rest of the schedule was awful.

And you would think they would learn from this but check out next years schedule.

If they lose even 1 of these games, they will be out again.

Notre dame.  Texas or vandy over bama.  IMO.  Hope bama lays another egg.    Won’t be easy at Oklahoma… their defense similar to Georgia 

Yeah, I can't feel TOO sorry for the Irish when they refuse to join a conference.

Bama got lucky playing Oklahoma. I'm not that because I expect them to win. But Oklahoma's offense is as brutal as Bama's so that will keep them in the game.

Not sure your angle here. Are you imply that success in the past decades should play a role in teams making the playoffs? If that is the case, Nebraska should be in it as well.

Bama’s SOS is 6th in the country. ND only beat USC. The rest of those teams in the ACC they played are absolute ass cheeks.

 Exactly. They need to join a conference. I dont blame the other conferences for wanting to boycott scheduling them with the new rule in ND favor as well.

Why not? They're two of the top five conference champions. They absolutely should be in according to the format put forth by the power conferences! Originally it was set up so the top four conference champions would get a first round bye, and the thinking was that those byes would go to the four Power conference champions. But then the big boys cried and wet their pants when Boise St. crashed their little party and the format was changed. No doubt in my mind the format will be changed again because of idiots like Nick Saban that wanna push the little guys out altogether.

 The little guys can’t win it. So it’s a waste of time.  Yes Boise won few bowl games against decent teams but JMU and Tulane shouldn’t be in over Texas , vandy , Notre Dame.

 Barely beating auburn in a hated night game is a bad win?  You must not know football or anything about Jordan Hare at night...

Getting embarrassed by UGA?  They were #1 overall in SEC and have the single best win in all of college football winning at UGA in a night game plus multiple ranked wins mid season.

Fsu is a bad loss but why this playoff with 12 teams changes so much.  You can afford losses especially early one where a team doesnt have an identity.

Using ND as the team to get in is a complete joke.  They beat USC and that is it.  Playing Navy without their qb syracuse and teams that caliber doesn't give u any leg to stand on.

They got it right all the way down including miami over ND.

Beat will bear OU and dont be surprised they beat indiana as well...bama has been banged up and giving them 2 weeks to prepare for OU then 10 more days after will help.
