North Texas +21 over Appa St *****
It was to good to be true.. NT defense is so bad but with one of the best wr's in the country that is under everyones radar except NFL scouts Darden is about 50% of NT's total offense. They have now used him in end arounds,and realize they have the most electric player in college football. A step back 3 yd pass turns into an 50 yd run.. Once he has the ball his 1st or 2nd step are a blurr to anyone guarding him. Teams have stacked 2 or 3 guys on him and he is gone. He has 19 td's and has 50% of NT's total passing yds .Darden is 5'9 and weighs in at around 170 pounds You can't see him or catch him. And when you do your looking at his numbers from behind. chasing him.
NT lost Fine at qb this year who broke about 6 or 7 national passing records . So this year they have split the qb positions between Aune and Bean. Bean can be more dual avg 7 yds a carry but Aune is the better passer.

Dardin has opted out of the game to prepare for the NFL and Aune didn't make the trip to Myrtle beach ...

Appa St -21 over North Texas ****
NT defense is one of the worst in the country giving up close to 500 yds per game.. Almost even vs the ground or air. Nt did beat up Mid Tenn and Houston Baptist so almost 40% of NT's offense came vs those 2 teams. NT defense is a gambling one that likes to blitz. They have 21 sacks.. But when you blitz and it doesn't work your in trouble. NT's ranks No 1 in the nation in giving up over 60 yds plays .. They have been beaen so many times by one big play. Appa St has Zac Thomas a senioe who the last 3 years has over 2,000 yds passing and can run with the ball A dual threat . And Appa St is no 1 in the Sun conference in plays over 50 yds{ 10} If NT blitz's it will be more. Appa St has won there last 3-4 bowl games and this team has all seniors . Good rb's and 2 wr;s Heenigan and williams . Although they play in the Sun conf last yr they were 13-1 and beat North carolina 34-31and the yr before lost to Penn St 45-38. Zac was the qb so he is battle tested and NT's defense is in big time trouble. If Nt's offense with Darden could keep it close. But Appa St defense is solid too. Think Zac runs all over NT's defense and NT doesn't have enough offense to catch up See a 44-17 blowout.
