1* 41-31
2* 11-9
3* 1-3
4* 1-1
5* 0-0
FSU/Tenn Martin game combined for 29 missed 3 pointers, and still only came up 5 points short of the total. I'd make the same bet today. Kansas lost by .5 pt. Could have been a great day, instead of mediocre, but that's college basketball.
1*Alabama St/Air Force Under 137.5
The Hornets shouldn't get the same fatigued legs they had in Boulder when they lost by 28, as they have now been in altitude for a few days. They aren't a fast paced team by any means, and aren't good in the halfcourt. Air Force is EXTREMELY slow and diligent on offense, and a quarter of their possessions end in turnovers, so shots aren't a plenty for them. The most possessions they've played this year is 72 against Austin Peay, and that game got to 128.
1* William and Mary/Bowling Green Under 166.5
The pace in this one will make an "under" ticket holder sweat, WMU is the 3rd fastest tempo in the land, and BG isn't slow coming in at 64th. However, the Tribe rely primarily on the 3pt shot, and the strength of this Falcons team is it's defense. Bill and Mary are super prone to turning the ball over, and only 3 other defenses are forcing a higher TO rate than Bowling Green. BG doesn't shoot a ton of three's so that's helpful as well.
2* Arizona/UCONN Over 157.5
This one makes very little sense to me. With how Arizona wants to play, I don't see how both teams stay under 80. I think UCONN plays slow enough, that it will scare some people off this number, but their offense is so efficient, that it doesn't really matter. They've both played one game vs a meaningful opponent, and both of those games got well over this number. I have a game in the upper 160s, and I want this to be a 5* play, but the number being as low as it is has me scared.
1*La Salle Explorers +12.5
I learned my lesson the other night when I took a road favorite in a Philly 5 game, and I won't make that mistake again. Nova has to go into this high school sized gym, vs a team that has dropped two straight (one a Philly 5 game) and would love nothing more than to ruin big brothers night. First true road game for the Cats too.
1* Youngstown St Penguins +1.5
Betting against Toledo on their home floor has been a no-no for a few years now, but they've dropped two of their first three at home already, and in comes a Penguins team that can really shoot the three, and they shoot a lot of them. Toledo has yet to really show they care about playing defense this year, and their offense is giving the ball away at a bad rate. Penguins force you to beat them inside the arc, and I don't think the Rockets can do that.
