1* 12-7
2* 2-4
3* 1-0
4* 0-0
5* 0-0
Not a ton of time today so I'll keep things short.
1* St. Johns Red Storm -5.5
Not a huge fan of the number coming down, but Bama has scheduled themselves one hell of a gauntlet to start the year. Johnnies today, Purdue on Thursday, then Illinois, and Zaga. First away game, at MSG, I'll take the more experienced team, with the better coach.
1* Drexel/St Josephs Under 139.5
Nobody slows it down and mucks it up like Drexel did last year, and I expect alot more of the same. 355th in tempo last year, and 348th in avg time of offensive possessions.
2* Marshall/Toledo Over 160.5
These two met last year, and played to a total of 170. Toledo is historically much better at home, so this game being played at Savage benefits offensive numbers for them, where they got over 100 a handful of times last year. Added shooters in the portal. Marshall was much better defensively last year under Coach Jackson, but 4 new starters should take some time to gel, especially on defense.
1* IU-Indy/Butler Over 191.5
This has got to be the highest total I've ever played in a college game, but it's warranted in my opinion. Indy gave up over 100 to Ohio St and 90+ to LIU. They have no problem scoring themselves, and no interest in stopping anyone else.
2* Florida Atlantic Owls -6.5
Charleston played just 24 hours ago in a up and down game with Liberty. FAU beat Boston College back on Monday. Fatigued legs early in the season for the Cougars equals bad news.
1* Arkansas Razorbacks +2.5
Sparty historically struggles early in the year, and we saw that in their 11 point win over Colgate. Arkansas has experience returning, so the early road test doesn't both me as much.
Have a great day everyone, and GL
