Friday Cal Baptist 1st half-2.5

Cal Baptist just finished a gauntlet at Utah, at BYU, at Colorado, at Oregon State and at San Diego over the last two weeks.

Now they get to play 2-7 Eastern Washington who just played UMKC and Denver.

This is a system play times 10. Normally when a team immediately played a top notch team I play them next game against inferior competition. Cal Baptist just played 27 Yankees Murderers Row. Utah, BYU Colorado in the span of 5 days. Won at Oregon State and lost to Utah by 6.

1st half line isn’t up yet but this in my opinion is going to feel like heaven ( no pun intended) for Cal Baptist going against an awful 2-7 Eastern Washington squad.

Cal Baptist started the season 7-0 with wins at UC Irvine whos heavily favored to win the Big West 68-61, UC Riverside by 23, San Diego by 15 and at Oregon State by 16 leading by as much as 26 in that game early 2nd half.

Now you just took Utah to the brink at Utah up 4 with 5 mins to play before losing by 6 and 4 days prior in that span at BYU, blown out by 30 and Colorado, only losing by 8.

This might be my favorite bet of all time LoL!

 I think you’re right. Some books are down to 3.5 as well. If that Utah game had occurred 2 days ago I’d say 1st half is way better option but 6 days have passed since that gauntlet stretch. Fresh legs may make FG-4 or 3.5 just as sharp.

Cal Baptist has only been eligible for post season play since last year as a new D1 program and the talent they acquire is a phenomenon. I still think most people see this school as a NAIA type when betting against. Odd name, new school etc…. Eastern Washington has been D 1 since 1983 and a known commodity.

EW a bad team but always great for overs. 7-1 so far in lined games this year

CaBap has Daniels, 5-10" 185 who despite his smaller size is athletic and scores in bunches and should do so against E Wash's low defensive rating based on KENPOM. But E Wash has Huie and Marquardt, 6-9 245 and 6-10 225, a couple of taller guys.  E Wash plays a faster tempo and shoots at a higher percentage, FG's , 3's, and FT. So I think it all depends how much CaBap can contain Daniels. E wash will do better than expected.

Im capping this based on different metrics. Playing 3 straight top 30 road teams including a top 10 team and then going from that to playing EWU is why I like Cal Bap 1st half. The human element. Just like Iowa last night against ISU. Let down spot.
