UAB +20.5: Kind of hmmmd and ahhhd about it at +17 but had to pounce when it got over 20. Kennedy has got a bit of a rebuild on his hands but he's got some talent there led by Westry. Destroyed MVSU by 51 in the opener which maybe doesn't say a lot, while State dogwalked NC Central. No question the Wolfpack should get this one done, but seems like a big number against a proud and well-coached program. 0.75 units.
Gardner-Webb +30.5: Speaking of good coaches, Brownell has pretty much a new team that will probably be more cohesive in the coming months, but right now I don't trust them to cover spreads like this against a decent program like Webb. 0.5 units.
Florida State -25.5: Seminoles are playing lightning-fast and these SWAC teams like Alabama State really don't have the athletes to keep up. I am not a huge fan of laying this amount of points but it's hard to argue with the fact that most have been covering through the first 4 days of the season. 0.5 units.
