CBB Picks and Why 12-10-25

Very positive day yesterday - let's see if we can have success today:

1.  Vcu Fh -5   

2. Idaho st gm +10  

3. Merrimack +3  gm

4. IPFW  gm -3   

The Why - I look at the key drivers - opening lines madduxsports.com Kenpom for ranks and schedule strength and Statsharp.com for team data like assists, turnovers, def etc. Compare that with games with similar situations and do what history tells me.

Crazy vcu is favored by 8 and 5 at half.  New Mexico isn’t a bad team at all.  

UNM has literally beaten nobody (maybe a bad Miss St. counts as somebody) and the only losses that VCU have had were against teams like Vandy and NcState.  They also whalloped VTech.

Idaho State is a covering machine, really solid find (if it wins of course lol).  They also do very well ATS on the road.

 Depends on how you look at it.   NMX has a negative assist to turnover ratio on the road, sched strength is 189 (kenpom) rank is 86  - VCU is positive at home and numbers are pretty good comparatively.   I think VCU gets the first half not as comfortable with the game.    I graduated from there but i'm very objective when it comes to betting.

 First half they had chances - I’ll take the push .  The data i collect indicated the game may be tight - thus avoided it.    Vcu has talent they just need to harness it and play better defense - I think 37 % at home - need to do better .   

I took them -4.5 so they pulled it off for me
