Hardcourt season is around the corner and that means the tennis betting world shifts its eyes towards the final Grand Slam of the season — the US Open — taking place at Flushing Meadows.
Novak Djokovic, unsurprisingly, has the best US Open tennis odds as he looks to cap off his Grand Slam season with another victory added to his resume.
With just a few months until the first round starts, here's the latest look at the odds to win the 2022 US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, from August 29 to September 11.

Favorite to win the US Open 2022 men's championship
Novak Djokovic (+150)
For yet another Grand Slam, the Djoker is slotted in at the top of the odds board for the US Open. Djokovic had a weird start to the Grand Slam season with all the drama surrounding him in Australia, but followed that up with a four-set quarterfinal defeat to the clay king himself Rafael Nadal. Djokovic will look to capture the fourth US Open title of his career.
Danill Medvedev (+250)
The player with the second-highest odds is Medvedev, who will have a fresh set of legs after being forced to sit out of Wimbledon due to circumstances out of his control. Last year's US Open champion will look to repeat, and fight off some tough competition.
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia (+450)
Topping off the Top 3 is the 19-year-old prodigy, who will once again be in the mix for his first Grand Slam title. Depending on how well he does at Wimbledon, his odds for the US Open could very easily skyrocket, so you may want to get him at +450 while you can.

Favorite to win the 2022 US Open Women's Championship
Iga Swiatek (+250)
Just like on the men's side, the No. 1 ranked player in the world leads the way as Iga Swiatek tops the odds board. At just 21 years of age, Swiatek is already a two-time Grand Slam winner, including capturing yet another French Open Championship this season. Oddsmakers believe this is the year the Polish sensation captures her first US Open title.
Naomi Osaka (+600)
Entering the No. 2 spot at +600 is none other than Naomi Osaka, who has captured two of her four Grand Slam titles in this very tournament. Osaka is always a dangerous player to go up against on hard court, so it's no surprise why she's sitting so high on the board.
Emma Raducanu (+1,200)
Rounding out the Top 3 is last year's US Open winner, Emma Raducanu. The 19-year-old has shown plenty of promise in her young career, and she'll look to turn a quiet 2022 season around in the loudest way possible.
Previous US Open singles champions
Here are the US Open singles champions for the last 10 years, with Djokovic and Nadal (unsurprisingly) dominating the tournament with a combined six of the past 10 men's titles. On the women's side, there has been a different champion in five of the last six tournaments, and this year is shaping up to again have a new champion come the final Saturday.
Year | Men's Champion | Women's Champion |
---|---|---|
2021 | Danill Medvedev | Emma Raducanu |
2020 | Dominic Thiem | Naomi Osaka |
2019 | Rafael Nadal | Bianca Andreescu |
2018 | Novak Djokovic | Naomi Osaka |
2017 | Rafael Nadal | Sloane Stephens |
2016 | Stan Wawrinka | Angelique Kerber |
2015 | Novak Djokovic | Flavia Pennetta |
2014 | Marin Cilic | Serena Williams |
2013 | Rafael Nadal | Serena Williams |
2012 | Andy Murray | Serena Williams |
2011 | Novak Djokovic | Samantha Stosur |
How to bet on US Open odds
Tennis betting is most commonly done with moneyline odds for a match. Each player is assigned a moneyline price and bettors can wager on which one they think will win. Sportsbooks also offer futures odds for each tournament, where you can bet on which player will win that specific tournament.
Tennis futures odds usually look like this:
- Player A +600
This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to win $600 if Player A wins the tournament. If it's close to the end of a tournament or one player has been particularly dominant, you might see someone with a minus sign (-) ahead of their odds:
- Player B -120
This means that you would need to wager $120 to win $100 on Player B winning the tournament.
