It all comes down to this.

Patrick Cantlay outlasted Scott Stallings at the BMW Championship on Sunday to put himself in an excellent position to repeat as TOUR Champion. And despite withdrawing from the event near the end of the third round with a back injury, Will Zalatoris still wound up third on the points list heading into the 2022 TOUR Championship.

However, it's Scottie Scheffler who will start the tournament with a two-stroke advantage as he looks to parlay his breakout season into a FedExCup championship.

Here are the live betting odds to win the 2022 TOUR Championship.

Notes on the Field

Thirty of the world's best golfers will descend on East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta for the TOUR Championship this weekend. Under the current format, FedExCup points leader Scottie Scheffler will open with a two-stroke advantage at 10 under with the rest of the golfers staggered based on their place in the standings.

Here is how the board will shake out when the opening round kicks off

  • -10: Scottie Scheffler
  • -8: Patrick Cantlay
  • -7: Will Zalatoris
  • -6: Xander Schauffele
  • -5: Sam Burns
  • -4: Cameron Smith, Rory McIlroy, Tony Finau, Sepp Straka, Sungjae Im
  • -3: Jon Rahm, Scott Stallings, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Matthew Fitzpatrick
  • -2: Max Homa, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, Joaquin Niemann, Viktor Hovland
  • -1: Collin Morikawa, Billy Horschel, Tom Hoge, Corey Conners, Brian Harman
  • Even: K.H. Lee, J.T. Poston, Sahith Theegala, Adam Scott, Aaron Wise

Favorites to win the 2022 TOUR Championship

Patrick Cantlay (+1,000)

Fresh off his huge victory at the BMW Championship, Cantlay is the betting favorite to emerge victorious this weekend as the 2022 TOUR Champion. If successful, Cantlay would become the first golfer to win consecutive FedExCup trophies and the third to win multiple titles after Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Cantlay entered last year's tournament from the top spot and maintained the advantage even though a surging Jon Rahm made things interesting. Cantlay is simply as rock-solid as they come. He leads all golfers in Top-10 finishes with 11 on the year.

Scottie Scheffler (+1,200)

The FedExCup points leader isn't the betting favorite — likely due to Cantlay's pedigree and consistency — but he isn't far off. He has 10 Top-10 finishes under his belt on the year and led the PGA Tour in greens in regulation, consistently putting himself in a position to save par at worst. He's fourth in scoring average and fifth in shots gained.

A two-stroke advantage may be all he needs based on how consistently he's played this season. He missed just three cuts in 2022, though two of those came in his last four tournaments (Genesis Scottish Open, FedEx St. Jude). Still, a T3 finish at the BMW helped him maintain his points lead over Cantlay en route to his strong starting position this weekend.

Xander Schauffele (+1,200)

Possibly due to Will Zalatoris' back injury, Schauffele is right there alongside Scheffler. He opens at -6 and will have a bit of a hill to climb, though not one that is insurmountable. The 28-year-old won three tournaments this year (two of which came back-to-back) and finished within the Top 15 in three majors. He hasn't missed a cut since the Masters and has finished outside the Top 20 only once in his last 10 tournaments.

Notable longshots to win the TOUR Championship

Sungjae Im (+3,000)

Despite a slight blip between the U.S. Open and The Open Championship, Sungjae Im has been remarkably consistent. He rattled off back-to-back T2 finishes at the 3M Open and Wyndham Championship in late July/early August and finished just outside the Top 10 in each of the first two legs of the FedExCup playoffs. Yes, the 24-year-old is behind the eight ball a bit by starting out at -4, but consider that Jon Rahm is listed at +1,600 to win despite starting the tournament at -3.

In fact, Rahm, Tony Finau, Cameron Smith, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas all have shorter odds to win despite opening at the same spot or worse on the leaderboard. There is value here if you're eschewing the top picks, especially since he's shown an ability to hang.

Sepp Straka (+15,000)

Straka is even more undervalued than Sungjae Im. Also opening the tournament at -4, Straka is perhaps a shocker to be as high as he is. It's largely due to his impressive showing at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he lost to Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff. Prior to that, the 29-year-old had missed six straight cuts.

The Austrian has had several highs this year, though, winning The Honda Classic in February and tacking on a couple of Top-10 finishes along the way. Oddsmakers do not like his chances but he's notable for being at longer odds than everyone else at his starting position or even the two spots behind him.

Past FedExCup Champions

The FedExCup was inaugurated in 2007 when Tiger Woods became the first to hoist the trophy. He is one of two golfers to win the FedExCup Tour on two occasions. No one has three titles in this span, though Rory McIlroy would become the first if he comes out on top this weekend.
