An amazing week at Oak Hill for the PGA Championship saw Brooks Koepka win his fifth major and PGA professional Michael Block steal headlines with a storybook week.
With that in the books, the PGA Tour schedule rolls on and heads to Colonial for the Charles Schwab Challenge, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler once again fetching the shortest odds at +450.

Charles Schwab Challenge picks and predictions
Rickie Fowler Top 20 (+145 at FanDuel)
While Rickie did miss the cut at Oak Hill, he did so by just one shot, and I don’t think we should suddenly throw away a season’s worth of improved performances after maybe the toughest test these guys will face this season.
Take away the PGA Championship and you’re looking at 10 Top 20s in 14 Tour starts this season and that includes a run of five straight from THE PLAYERS through to the Wells Fargo three weeks ago.
His putting and approach play fell flat last week but his longer-term metrics have me confident he’ll be able to right the ship, ranking fifth in the field in true strokes gained putting and 16th in true strokes gained approach over the last six months, per DataGolf.
His recent history here at Colonial doesn’t instill a ton of confidence but the last time he was in this good of form, he finished T14 (2018). I expect something similar from him this week.
Cam Davis over Brian Harman (-108 at FanDuel)
One of the under-the-radar winners coming out of last week’s PGA is Cameron Davis, who used a field-best 65 on Sunday to shoot himself into the Top 5.
He did almost all of that work on approach and with his driver and used his added length to his advantage. That T4 finish at Oak Hill also marked his third Top-7 finish over his last five stroke-play starts.
And while Harman has a decade-plus of quality finishes here at Colonial, he missed the cut a year ago and is in far from good form, with just one Top 10 and seven missed cuts — including last week — in 13 starts this year.
The Aussie finished seventh here a year ago and is playing well enough to replicate that this week, though a Top 20 or Top 30 may be all he needs to get the job done here.
Charles Schwab Challenge field and favorites
We're now halfway through the major championship season with three events standing between Oak Hill and the U.S. Open at LACC.
That stretch starts with the Charles Schwab Challenge and topping the board is Scottie Scheffler (+450) after a runner-up finish last week. Consistency is the name of the game with Scottie, with two wins and no finish worse than T12 going all the way back to November. He also finished runner-up here at Colonial a year ago.
Beyond Scheffler is a trio of guys at 14/1: Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland, and Tony Finau. Spieth has a particularly impressive resume here, with a win in 2016 and three runner-ups (2015, 2017, 2021) among nine Top-15 finishes in 10 career starts.
2022 runner-up Collin Morikawa is just below that group at +1,600, while defending champion Sam Burns sits at 25/1 despite missing the cut at Oak Hill last week.
Michael Block's odds to win the Charles Schwab Challenge
Look beyond Brooks Koepka's fifth major win and the biggest story coming out of Oak Hill is that of Michael Block, a PGA professional who contended with three straight rounds of 70 and a 71 on Sunday. He also sent roars through the property with a final-round hole-in-one on No. 15 — a true storybook ending to an incredible week.
He finished T15, which gets him an invite to next year's PGA Championship. He also received a sponsor exemption to the Charles Schwab Challenge — as well as the RBC Canadian Open in two weeks — and is now on the board at +30,000 to win this week.
In bet365's top finisher markets, Block is available at +6,000 to finish inside the Top 5, +2,200 to finish Top 10, +800 for a Top 20, and +240 for a Top 40.
