Welcome back for another week of college football betting action that will make you happy, sad and just about every other emotion from start to finish.

Betting on college football is hard, but I'm here today to help give a little insight on some key matchups to try and help you make the best possible decision. I won't tell you what to bet, but I'll try my best to peel back the film on some of these college football odds and make your life a little easier.

Featured college football Week 4 odds

Arkansas vs Texas A&M

There's no need to beat around the bush. Both of these teams displayed piss-poor efforts last week — with the Aggies losing to App State — so both will be eager to come out strong. There were high expectations for both sides coming into the season, and a win here seems like a must to get the campaign back on track.

Despite the loss, A&M is a 2-point "home" (with this game played at nearby AT&T Stadium) fave nearly everywhere, with the total as low as 49.5 and as high as 50.5.

Tennessee vs Florida

Another big game to look out for this weekend is an SEC East Division matchup between the Volunteers and Gators. Florida has had an up-and-down first month while Tennessee has looked like a total beast and is 3-0 against the spread. It's no surprise that the Vols stand as double-digit faves here, coming off a 57-point drubbing of the lifeless Akron Zips last weekend. Tennessee will look to get payback after being heavily mocked by Florida backers for years on end, and will have a good chance to do just that Saturday.

College football Week 4 news

Kan you believe it

Kansas has won more games this season already than all of last year, and it has been rewarded with its first sellout crowd since 2009. This is exciting for both the program and its fans, with the Jayhawks installed as 7-point favorites against Duke this weekend. If Kansas can continue its hot play, this will be the first year since 2007 that the program was above .500. For bettors looking at the line here, it's also important to note the Jayhawks are 3-0 against the spread.

Is USC for real

For the first time in five years, the Trojans find themselves in the Top 10, but just how real is it? They stand at 3-0 but I can't sit here and say they've had the toughest opponents. With that said, Oregon State will stand as USC's toughest match of the season and will give bettors a much better feel for this team moving forward. The Trojans are 3-0 ATS and will have their shortest line of the season this weekend, sitting around -5.5.

College football Week 4 injuries

Minnesota vs Michigan State

The Golden Gophers have gotten out to a highly impressive start to the season, but they'll have to continue the run without wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell. The senior had 1 TD along with 214 receiving yards up to this point, but a leg injury that requires surgery will keep him off the field. With that said, Minnesota should still be able to handle a miserable MSU program this weekend. Expect a big game from Mohamed Ibrahim, who has ran for 100+ yards in three straight games to start the year.

Missouri vs Auburn

Auburn is running out of people to throw the ball. After starting QB T.J. Finley injured his shoulder against Penn State last week, it was announced Zach Calzada would also be undergoing shoulder surgery. Finley isn't out for the season, but he will miss Saturday's game against Mizzou, with no replacement reported as of writing. With this being the (Auburn) Tigers' home opener, bettors may be keen to hop on the home side, but just a quick reminder it's 0-3 ATS this season and is also down two field generals.

College football Week 4 weather

As Hurricane Fiona tears up much of the east coast, there will still be plenty of sunshine to go along with the messiness of the hurricane. Take Texas A&M for example. The Razorbacks and Aggies will have bright skies with minimal winds to start the game Saturday night, with temps sitting around the 90s.

In our other featured game of the week, Florida and Tennessee won't be getting much of a tan on during their game as clouds will hover over Neyland Stadium for the matchup Saturday afternoon. Neither weather pattern should negatively affect the QB's ability to throw, and that may help hit the lofty total of the Gators and Vols squabble.
