Villanova vs Kansas odds
As of 8:30 a.m. ET Saturday morning, BetMGM was showing 58% of tickets and 64% of money was on Midwest No. 1 Kansas to cover as the favorite. This is a bit of a contrast to DraftKings, which as of Friday night reported that it was South Region winner Villanova getting more of the money (52% to 48%), despite KU still taking 62% of the tickets.
Everyone seems to be in agreement in betting the Over, with DK showing 54% of bets and 74% of the money on O133, while BetMGM is posting a total of 131.5, showing 71% of money and 57% of tickets on the Over.
Our Covers Consensus is somewhere in the middle, with 60% of users supporting the Jayhawks, while 54% are backing the Under.
As for our Villanova vs. Kansas picks and predictions? We're leaning with KU to cover as well — click on the link for the full breakdown, plus check out our best Wildcats-Jayhawks prop bets.
North Carolina vs Duke odds
In one of the most highly anticipated college basketball matchups ever, with Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski playing his last Final Four game against storied rival UNC, PointsBet reported yesterday that bettors were leaning with the Tar Heels +4.5, with 53% of tickets and 63% of the money. This is right in line with what BetMGM is showing this morning, as they have an even more extreme lean towards UNC (60% of bets/72% of handle).
These books are split, however, on the total — MGM is seeing more favor towards a low-scoring affair, reporting 64% of all money (57% of bets) coming in on U151.5, while PointsBet is showing 59% of bets (70% of handle) are going Over 151.
Our Covers Consensus for this game also seems to sport Tar Heel blue, with 61% of users backing the East Region winner, while 61% of users are expecting this game to go Over the total.
