Today’s NBA Player Prop Picks: Powell Continues to Cook for Clippers

There are only three games on today's slate, but there is no shortage of juicy player props to sink our teeth into. For today's NBA player prop picks we're banking on a pair of guards to help out offensively, and a Knicks' big man to crash the boards.

It’s a bit of a lighter day on the NBA schedule with just three games on the betting board, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of value in the NBA player props market.

Today, Julius Randle will have a great day cleaning the glass, Spencer Dinwiddie will be the one making it rain when the Mavericks welcome the Splash Brothers to town, and Norm Powell will continue to carry the load offensively for the injury-riddled Los Angeles Clippers.

Here are my best NBA player prop picks for Tuesday, November 29.

Rebounds for Randle

The New York Knicks visit the Detroit Pistons on Monday night in hopes of snapping out of a funk that has resulted in them losing four of their last five games. New York is 5-point chalk for this Eastern Conference matchup and one way it can win and cover that spread is by cleaning up the glass.

The Pistons have struggled a lot on the boards this season, ranking 25th in opponent rebounds per game and 23rd in rebounding rate. We are getting a really good number with one player’s rebounding prop in particular — Julius Randle.

Randle leads the Knicks in rebounding, averaging 8.7 per game this season, and his rebounding total for this matchup is set at 8.5 with the Over paying out at close to even money.

Randle has also pulled down double-digit boards twice in his last three games and has grabbed nine or more boards 11 times in his 20 outings this season — making the even money look even better.

It doesn’t help Detroit could be without three of its Top-4 rebounders in this matchup. Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart are already ruled out while Marvin Bagley III is listed as questionable.

Bet on Randle to clean up the glass and go Over 8.5 rebounds.

Julius Randle prop: Over 8.5 rebounds (+110)

Splash Dinwiddie

The Golden State Warriors take their road woes to Dallas to take on Luke Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Much has been made of the Warriors and their 2-9 straight up and against the spread record when playing away from the Chase Center this season. A big part of the problem for the Dubs on the road has been due to their effort on the defensive end of the floor.

Golden State has looked disjointed on defense, to the point where it ranks 22nd in the NBA in defensive rating. And while it’s the Warriors who usually make it rain on opponents, this year it’s the Dubs who are getting rained on.

They are having all kinds of issues defending the perimeter, ranking 25th in opponent 3-point attempts per game. Opposing teams are hitting 35.2% of those attempts, and the best way to take advantage of that in this matchup is by backing Spencer Dinwiddie with his 3-pointers made prop.

Dinwiddie has been the Mavericks' most lethal shooter from deep, hitting 41.2% of his 6.9 attempts per game. He has hit eight of his last 18 shots from deep (44.4%) and has hit three threes in back-to-back and in three of five.

At even money, he looks like a solid bet to go Over his made threes prop in this matchup.

Spencer Dinwiddie prop: Over 2.5 made threes (+102)

Powell pours in the points

The Los Angeles Clippers are navigating key injuries better than most. The team is 12-9 despite Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and John Wall missing a ton of combined games.

They’ve done so thanks mostly to a defense that ranks second in defensive rating, but some players are starting to step up on the offensive end as well, including shooting guard Norm Powell. The Clippers' super sixth man has a great opportunity to put up some points in Tuesday night’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Powell has taken it upon himself to shoulder more of the load on offense recently. He has upped his field goal attempts from 11 to 14.4 over the last five games, shooting 50% from the field and averaging 20.6 points per game over that stretch. And while Powell may not be a starter, he is logging 27.7 minutes per game over the last five contests.

Tonight, he goes up against a Blazers team that is mediocre at best on the defensive end of the floor. Portland ranks 19th in defensive rating and opposing guards have been posing a problem for them. The Blazers rank 24th in points allowed per game and 19th in 3-point percentage to opposing guards.

Powell has eclipsed 18.5 points three times in his last five games and at even money in this matchup, he’s a good value to go Over his points prop once again.

Norm Powell prop: Over 18.5 points (+105)
