After last weekend's wild and historic DQ result in Pocono, NASCAR speeds on to the Verizon 200, hopefully with a bit less controversy this time around.
Chase Elliott is beginning to pull away from the pack in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series odds and after becoming Pocono's de-factor winner, is favored again heading into this weekend.

Verizon 200 at The Brickyard pre-race favorites
Chase Elliott (+400)
This is a road course race, so naturally, we find Elliott atop the odds board. In 22 career road course races, Elliott's posted seven wins and 13 Top-5s, utterly dominating the format. To boot, he's been the most prolific driver on the circuit this year — his "victory" at Pocono gives him more wins in his last five races alone than any other driver has this season. Elliott has opened up a huge lead in the Cup Series standings, more than 100 points clear of No. 2.
Kyle Larson (+650)
After a fifth-place finish at Pocono put him back within spitting distance of a win, Larson will look to improve upon third here last year, as his playoff push shifts into high gear. The defending Cup Series champ dominated the circuit in 2021, but 2022 has been a slightly different story, with just one win back in February.
Ross Chastain (+700)
Chastain has been a model of consistency this year as the only driver in NASCAR with double-digit Top-5 finishes. He's also won two races outright, and despite a disastrous 32nd last weekend and equally-forgetful 29th in this race last year, bettors should be confident in his road course skills, as he won at COTA and hasn't finished outside the Top-10 on a road course yet this year.
How to bet on NASCAR
The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.
Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
