Online sports betting sites in the Empire State are having a consistently solid run to begin 2023, and last week was once again no exception.
Figures reported by the New York State Gaming Commission on Friday show the state's nine online sportsbooks handled $423 million in bets during the week ended January 15, up from $401.2 million the week before.
The online sports betting sites in New York took that handle and turned it into $28 million in gross gaming revenue last week, which was down slightly from the $29.9 million in receipts booked for the preceding week. The hold for the state's nine mobile books for the week ended January 15 was 6.6%, down from the previous week’s 7.5% win rate.
As per usual, FanDuel led the way by handle, as the New York-based operator took almost $172 million in bets during the week ended January 15. FanDuel generated $18.6 million in revenue from that handle as well.
Running second again was DraftKings, with $139.9 million in handle and $3.9 million in gross gaming receipts. Caesars Sportsbook closed out another week in third with $52.4 million in handle and almost $3 million in revenue for the week ended January 15.
