The third of 2024's four major championships — the U.S. Open — is heading to Pinehurst Resort from June 13-16.

2024 U.S. Open favorites

Scottie Scheffler (+350 to +400)

The World No. 1's odds at the majors are seeing new lows considering he's 4/1 or shorter to win each major this season and that includes a +350 price at Pinehurst in June.

His run of four wins in five starts can't be overstated and the odds haven't taken long to reflect that level of success. 

Rory McIlroy (+1,000 to +1,100)

Rory's first of four major championship victories came at the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional as a 21-year-old. He lapped the field, winning by eight shots.

He's been in contention each of the last three years but hasn't been able to seal the deal. Will 2024 be the year that changes?

Jon Rahm (+1,000 to +1,100)

It's an interesting time for the 2021 U.S. Open champ considering he hasn't yet won on LIV Golf and was a non-factor in his Masters title defense. 

With that said, he's finished T8 or better in all five of his LIV starts and can just as easily get hot leading up to Pinehurst.

The U.S. Open is returning to Pinehurst's Course No. 2 for the fourth time in 2024 with the Donald Ross design playing as a Par 70 at 7,551 yards.

It was last held here in 2014 when Martin Kaymer used rounds of 65 on Thursday and Friday to cruise to an 8-shot victory. It also recently hosted the 2019 U.S. Amateur, won by Andy Ogletree.
