The PGA Championship cut line is key to golf bettors as it determines the outcomes of some head-to-head matchups, whether an outright they bet on makes it to the weekend, and of course, settles the popular cut line prop bet

PGA Championship Projected cut line update

The cut line for the 2023 PGA Championship was +5 after Round 2 came to a close on Friday. There are 76 golfers who made it to the weekend, with Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners, and Viktor Hovland tied for the lead at -5.

With sportsbooks setting the cut line prop at 141 (+1) prior to the event, the Over cashed easily thanks in part to some windy weather on Friday.

Some notable players who missed the cut are Matthew Fitzpatrick (+6), Rickie Fowler (+6), Matt Kuchar (+6), and Jason Day (+8).

Betting on the cut line

Before the tournament tees off on May 18, oddsmakers will release the projected cut line for the tournament and offer bettors a chance to wager on whether the actual cut line after Round 2 will be Over or Under the total they set before the tournament.

Odds to make the cut

Another popular way to bet on the PGA Championship cut line is to bet on which golfers will make the cut and advance beyond Round 2.

Prior to the tournament, sportsbooks will release PGA Championship odds on all the major golfers' chances to make the cut at Southern Hills. Covers' roster of golf betting analysts will also make picks for who will make the cut and who will be done after two rounds.

PGA Championship cut rule

The cut rule sees the Top 70 golfers (including ties) in the PGA Championship field after 36 holes make the cut and move on to the final two rounds. Those sitting 71st or worst after the first two rounds do not advance.
