Scottie Scheffler (+350 to +450)
He's gone from zero to 10 PGA Tour wins in less than 2.5 years, won two of the last three Masters, and is far and away the best player in the world by any metric.
As a result, Scheffler's odds to win the majors have been chopped in half — and in some cases, more — and that includes Royal Troon, where he's gone from 10/1 to as short as +350 over the last three months.

Rory McIlroy is still amid a 10-year major championship drought after falling short at the Masters in April.
And while his form has been just fair, the 2014 Open winner has been consistent at the majors in recent years and has given himself plenty of chances — look no further than the final round here in 2022.
Jon Rahm (+1,000 to +1,100)
Since finishing runner-up at last year's Open Championship, Jon Rahm has moved to LIV Golf and finished just T45 in his Masters title defense in April.

Royal Troon course notes
Royal Troon is gearing up to host the Open Championship for the 10th time in 2024. It was last here in 2016, with Henrik Stenson taking down Phil Mickelson in a historic major finish. It also hosted the 2020 Women's Open, won by Sophia Popov.
The Royal Troon Old Course was redesigned by James Braid ahead of its first Open in 1923. It now plays as a Par 71 at 7,175 yards.
