It's the 2nd leg of the Carabao Cup and I can't see anything but an open and goal filled game.
If you watched the 1st leg it was somewhat of a miracle that the game only ended 1-0.
Southampton as the home team pushed high up the field and went for goals while Newcastle equally obliged with all their blistering speed to get in behind Southampton's defensive line.
If you think about the clear goalscoring chances that we saw in the 1st leg there these were the ones I can remember
- Joelinton goal chalked off for handball - Joelinton missed an open goal which probably had an xG of 60% is was so unmissable - Adams got in behind and was 1-on-1 with Pope who made a good save - Armstrong goal chalked off for handball
It was an open and entertaining 1st leg and I see no reason that either side change their approach in this game. Further Newcastle have got back some key attack players in the mercurial Saint-Maximan and Isak.
I think Newcastle win this comfortably at home against a Southampton side that are battling at the bottom of the league and have too many limitations to turn this around.

I worry if they(Newcastle)go up 1-0 they could just see the match out already being up 1-0 on the tie. A draw would put Newcastle through too, not saying they would play for a draw but they have conceded the least amount of goals in the PL and already had a clean sheet against Southampton in the first leg. Love em ML but at -260 idk if that is worth a squeeze
