Never In Doubt. Keep the faith. Actually, this makes up for the 0-3 night I had, where I lost 2 games in Overtime. Win some = Lose some. That's why they call it gambling.

Yesterday 3-0 + 305 YTD 64W 33L 66% + 2790 Units A dime bettor would be up $27,090 == That Ain't Hay!
I'll take 66% going into the all-star break. Hat's off to the NY Islanders, who finally are trying to do something about their lack of scoring, by acquiring high scoring center ice man BO Horvat from the Canucks. Will he help? He certainly should. But we'll just have to wait & see. They had to do something. A team can't believe they can win all their games 2-0. So, at least they're trying to bolster their offense. So, far 5-0 on player props. I'm going to take a real long shot tonight, since I have been running hot, as of late, on the prop angle.
Claude Giroux anytime goal + 240 = Played at Draft Kings. I think they moved the odds down slightly after my wager, but still worth a stab at + 230
Girioux has been scoring lately & Canadian's defense, is the 2nd worst in the NHL, so I'll take my chances on this prop paying such large odds.
I haven't been posting any of the betting syndicates plays for quite a while, but I'll post one tonight because my friend is part of this crew, & they have been doing quite well recently. This is not an official play. I'm just passing on information. I know I would never bet against them, when they're running hot.
They played the Capitals - 1.5 goals + 125 for 200 large.

Let's hope he finds the net at least one time against a porous Canadian defense. BYW, nice call on the Jet game yesterday. You did your homework, and it paid off. Go Air Force in college hoops tonight. You can get them + 8 === Good value, IMO

Thank you ! Learnin from the best! I was able to create my own power rankings on EXCEL which was a fun project. I’m going to keep tweaking it but trying to keep it relatively simple ! I’ll tag airforce! funny, one of our rivals here at the academy

Also Crazy come back by airforce ! I made a 3 leg live bet parlay when CBJ:Canadiens:CAR moneyline we’re down in The third and then they all tied up and I cashed out big time, I wasn’t gonna let the one ride haha. But they all were close games so I figured I throw a small wager on that and possibly cash out. Never asked what your thoughts were on live betting. Also was curious how you do your player prop bets!

The only time I cashed out this year was on the Bengals, before the game started, because I knew I was on the wrong side laying a horrible price. I was then able to make a normal wager on the Chiefs without the fear of middling myself on the 2 wagers. I had a nice night in college hoops, going 3-1. Likewise, I'm finally able to put my attention on basketball now that the football season is coming to a close.
My advice to you on wagering on props is to tailor them around teams you either think will win their games, or conversely on teams you think will lose their games, if you're planning on betting the no, or under side of the prop. For example, on tonight's Ottawa game, I was fairly certain that they would score a good number of goals against the Canadians. So, I look for who might be more likely than not to score a goal for the Senators. Naturally, Claude Giroux seemed like the most probable goalscorer, having had netted 19 goals so far this season. His history against the Canadians was also very favorable. Now I look at what odds the sportsbooks are setting on the any-time goal as compared to the assist prop, which I didn't think was as likely, because he has negative plus minus, over the last few seasons. Which tells me he is more interested in offense, than he is defense. To think that the sportsbooks opened up this prop (of anytime goal) at + 240 seemed like a Christmas gift to me. I made this prop about - 170. So, once again, I would preach the importance of finding value in any wager you are interested in. Whether it's a prop or a side. Value is the name of the game for me. I've always lived by this rule. Then, when you lose a bet, (and you'll lose many) you don't feel so bad because, you know you lost having the best of it (knowing the odds were in your favor). If I gave you 10 to 1 on the flip of a coin, and you called tails, and it came up heads, would you feel bad that you lost? Of course not, because you realize that on that same prop, at the same odds, you would send me to the poor house, in the long run. So, I hope I provided some clarity to you on what is important to me in wagering on anything. I stop typing because I know some people will think I'm a know-it-all, which couldn't be further from the truth. It's just that I have a lot of experience in the sports betting field. On many other subjects, I'm dumb as a box of rocks. We all have our strong points, as well as weak points. Continued good luck and keep expanding your knowledge. Knowledge is Power. Hi Redlad, I wanted to take a minute and say that I really appreciate you insight and articulating your rationale for some of these game. While we all know gambling is just that, I think it adds a great deal of value to this forum that you are kind enough to share your knowledge and expertise with the group. I browse a few different gambling forums and felt compelled to create an account just simply to respond specifically to you. I appreciate you sharing your pick selections and mindset with us. Sorry, if this seems like kissing your a**, but I just speak the truth. I find it tough to locate a decent hockey handicapper so stumbling upon yourself is a breathe of fresh air. That being said. Now that we are half way through the season and we have a good idea who the contenders and the pretenders are, do you have any thoughts on future Lord Stanley Wagers. I personally think it will come out of the East. Av’s while loaded, appear to be suffering a hangover. Knights feel inconsistent, Stars and Kraken are pesky but not a lot of playoff experience. Whereas the East. Clearly Boston, but Hurricanes are so good at home, lightning are good and have experience, Maple Leafs … can they finally win? For me, it’s 1.) Hurricanes 2.) Bruins 3.) lightning
Thanks again!

Today is a tough one for me. Boston has been on a slump so could they wake up fired up? Supposedly DeBrusk is out with an Injury for them today. Leafs are 20-4 on home ice. Both goal tenders today are very good. As for the sabres Carolina game today again both very good goalies. I think both lines are evenly priced but leans towards CAR as the better price. But after a game like last night I can’t image they have as much energy as this high intensity sabres team. However Tage Thompson will be out sabres “supposedly” which is a huge loss. Not sure !

Hi Wonka,
Firstly, Thank you for your very kind words. As far as kissing butt, believe me I kissed a lot of butt, when I 1st moved to Las Vegas, a number of years ago. Everyone has a talent in certain areas of life. Some are talented electricians, doctors, lawyers etc.: I think I have developed the talent of making a solid line, on sporting events. It certainly doesn't make me smarter than the next guy (or girl) in other areas of life. My mother would have much preferred if I became a doctor or lawyer. But, because my father was a bookmaker, so I gravitated to learning the art of sports betting.
As far as your question about who I favor to win the Stanley Cup. I placed a wager on the Carolina Hurricanes at + 14 to 1 at the beginning of the year. I still like their chances as the Bruins have to continue to face some type of regression, if you look at the analytics of + 41% XGA = 5X5 up to the present point in the season. Carolina is presently listed odds of 8 to 1 at Draft Kings, the last I looked. My gut still tells me Carolina will win it. We'll see.
Please remember, I most likely will not be able to continue to hit at a 66% rate over the 2nd half of the hockey season. I have been extremely lucky on the way the pucks have bounced, for the most part. So far, a bad losing streak has not occurred, but in gambling eventually it will happen. That's the reason I always write please bet responsibly, at the bottom of my posts. There is no such thing as a LOCK. Except on windows & doors. Luck plays too much of a factor for any wager to be a sure thing, no matter how much of an edge, one might think they have.
Thanks for cementing on my thread.

Thanks Red. Yup, gambling has its ups and downs for sure. I appreciate your input though. Good luck tonight, if you decide to make a play!

The Hurricanes are in a brutal scheduling spot. 3 games in 4 nights = 5 games in 7, coming off a come from behind victory against the Kings, last night. While the Sabres are well rested after having played very well on their recent road trip. Also, The Sabres are a very dangerous offensive team. They have four players with 50 points or more already, whereas the Canes have none over 46. They lead the league in goals for per game at 3.76. Their power play is just as dangerous, sitting at nearly 26% good for 4th in the league. The only drawback would be that they generally play better on the road than they do at home. Tonight should be a different story, I am hoping. This game opened up at the Hurricanes - 160 last night. The reason the odds were so high is that the odds-maker thought that the Sabres top scorer Tage Thompson might be out. As soon as I heard that he was looking ready to play at the Sabres morning state, I fired away on the Sabres + 140. The game has been bet down to around + 130 (available at Heritage Sports) which I think is still a good value wager. Since I've been running rather hot on prop plays, I'll stick my foot in the water once again.
I believe taking Tage Thompson to record more than 3.5 SOG + 125 should get there if he is as healthy as the morning reports states. Remember, if he doesn't play, your wager is refunded at Draft Kings. So to sum up my wagers are
Sabres + 140 1 Unit
Thompson Over 3.5 SOG 1 Unit

Thanks Red and good luck. Sabres it is. I’ll probably end up jumping on that Bruins ML as well. They’ll be looking to stop that losing streak headed into the all star game. Bring from Boston, it’s been a fun team to watch this year.

I might post a pick in the NBA. Keep an eye out. The last hockey wager we made, and lost, was what you call being on the right side, but you get crushed. A highly respected betting syndicate came in late & also pounded the Sabres. Sometimes you call heads on a coin toss getting 7 to 5, yet you still lose. It happens. I don't regret betting the prop, nor the side, for a second. Losing, when you have an edge, happens, it goes with the territory. So, don't be discouraged by losing a wager. Make enough bets & you'll lose at least 4 out of 10 times, & still earn a nice living betting on sports. So, look forward to having a great 2nd half of the hockey season, & winning more than you lose. That's the name of the game. All the best!
