The Panthers are now 1-4 in their last five games versus the Lightning and are 8-21 in their last 29 games in Tampa Bay. The favorite is also 23-10 in the last 33 meetings between these two teams, while the Panthers are 1-4 in their last five games as an underdog and 2-10 in their last 12 postseason games as a dog. The Panthers were not necessarily terrible in the first two games at home, losing 4-1 in Game 1, and 2-1 in Game 2. But the Lightning did all the little things right, gaining home-ice advantage. Game 3 is obviously a huge game for the Panthers. Lose, and they're pretty much done. Win, and they still have plenty of work to do, but they'd be right back in this series.
I think the Lightning are able to keep their foot on the gas, pushing the Panthers to the brink, however. And after a pair of UNDER results, the OVER should be a good possibility here. The Panthers are going to have to try and generate some high-danger chances, ramping up the scoring. The Lightning will likely get some odd-man rushes back the other way as a result. Look for more than seven total goals here, too. T.B. 5-3 /OV 6.5 /By D.Dobish
