I am looking at a big bet on Flyers under 77.5 points. That team is in serious disarray. Came out today that Hart will probably be on the shelf to start the season. Also looking at the Pens under 101.5 points. Age has to be catching up to these guys at some point. Same with Boston, under 95.5. New leadership and a bunch of ?
On the over side, I am liking Canes, Kings, Wild, Oil and Rangers.
What say you?

I'm not huge into futures type bets, but I have been thinking of 2 for this season. I think you should jump on that bet for o/u 77.5pts. I think I may tail it as well on DK, which is o/u 73.5. I do not think even 73.5 will be within reach. My poor Flyers have the potential to be worse than last year ugg.....they are 5 years away from being 5 years away. The good news is that I'm a hockey lover at heart and there will be plenty to watch. My second future thought really doesn't pertain to your thread, which is Canes for the cup at +1200. BOL to you with whatever picks you make GASD!

Can't see how the Flyers find another 17 points to add to last season's total. Excluding #1 thru #4 in the Metro from last season, Columbus has definitely improved their roster, and no way do the Islanders lose 18 of 27 (thru December) like last year. Even the Devils seem to be improving, so yeah...that's a heckuva points total for them to shoot for (and still finish 7th or 8th). Guess Torts is gonna be saying "one game at a time, guys" a lot this season. You mentioned Hart's issues and their projected #2 has started all of 4 games in 9 years in the league. #3 went 0-4-1OTL in 5 starts last year.
Last season: 8-14-4 vs Metro / 3-17-4 vs Atlantic / 6-10 vs Central / 8-5-3 vs Pacific
25 wins...yeesh. Can they do better against the Atlantic...probably. Will they have a winning record vs the Pacific, doubtful...and the goalie situation is bad news.

Canes and Rags are great Overs. They should be #1/#2 in Division at Season end.
How about CGY Under? I see it around 93.5. Seems like a lot of turnover, and losing a great Center in Tckachuck-a-chuck. Could start slow, esp. with all the new blood just removed from Sunny So. Fla. and shipped to Alberta.
Also like your pick of the Gritties. I saw nothing super-positive over off season - D'Angelo nice add, but wait until he goes from being on a successful team to a last place team. He could go sour.

a couple of overs from the basement dwellers I like are Chi ov 66.5 @ 2.00 and MTL Ov 72.5 @ 1.86
MTL imo will improve ,probably not make the playoffs but should be high 70's low 80's
not betting them though coz hate tying up money for the season and as the season progresses you find yourself either trying to hedge out by betting against the teams if things aren't going to well
Bet365 have an interesting market for which team will have the worst season record
here's a few contenders
Ari @ 4.00
Chi @ 5.00
MTL @ 8.00
SJ @ 10.00
Phi @ 12.00
Buf @ 13.00
Cbj @ 13.00
Ana @ 15.00
have a feeling Buff are a dark horse to finish last
