About that time of year to take a look at the Power Ratings. Over the years A very strong play has been backing the number 1 team the very first game they can clinch the division.
And maybe see if we have any possible surprise teams.
Be interesting to see where Vikings and Titans rank.
Power Ratings I .............................
PR I is more pass heavy where offense and defense count the same.
1. Eagles 14.63
2. 9ers 9.24
3. KC 7.75
4. Boys 6.65
5. Bills 6.43
6. Bengals 5.58
7. Titans 4.47
8. Vikings (-3.85)
I didn't run the other teams, basically the 1st 5 teams is likely to produce the SB winner and likely no. 1 ranked team. I added Bengals as they are playing well and have a very good QBPR margin, I added Vikes and Titans for fun. Titans actually aren't so bad but the Vikings ouch, they don't do much well.
The Bills have really fallen with the past 3 or 4 not so great games but injuries played a role for sure. Eagles are on another level, they are strong in a number of indicators.
9ers look like the team that could be the surprise team if the Eagles falter.
Still plenty of football to be played and these rating are likely to change by seasons end. There should be at least one team that plays very consistent ball through the end of season and put themselves in great shape for the playoffs.
