But is he really?
He’s not changing his mind and he’s not going to another team and there will be no 8th Super Bowl. His records of 10 Super Bowl appearances and 7 Super Bowl wins will never be broken or tied.

Love him or hate him his stats though statistically appear to have been better in his 40'S than it was in his 20's and the stats below merit my respect. Thanks Tom for some very entertaining football.
23 seasons
15 pro bowls
7 Superbowl wins
3 NFL MVP titles

Rodgers wont' be retiring this year.....no way he goes out same year as Tommy and they are in same HOF class.

@MrBator
Not changing his mind? Yeah that's what a lot of people said about Brett Favre, Carl Etelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randall Cunningham, Muhammad Ali, Elton John, cher, Madonna, rolling stones, Phil Collins, Ozzy Osbourne....etc...etc..
That was NOT the way Brady wanted to go out this past year I'm sure but I am also sure that he definitely has another year in him if he wanted to play and after laying in the sun after a couple weeks and thinking it and mulling over the fact that he knows mostly one thing in his whole life and that is playing football and don't be surprised if he follows the Elton johns ongoing goodbye yellow brick road tour route and is back for the 23-24 NFL season.....Just Saying

You don't have to like him........but you should admire his impressive record. If you don't, it says a lot about you.

I'm from Philly and even I like Brady. For a 6th round pick to do what he did was epic, and he really was just on his own level for a long ass time in the NFL.
Everyone was praying for his downfall and it kinda worked, he had a bad year, his family broke up, supposedly he lost loads in the FTX scam.
Easy to hate a guy like him who wins everything, supermodel wife, etc. But if you read his book he really works hard through his diet and exercise regimes and researching the science behind it to keep himself playing as long as he did.
But like ALL these guys do, he did leave it too long.. shouldn't have came back this year, especially if that is what caused his divorce.
One thing impressed me about him was Antonio Brown shared some texts on IG between him and Brady. It's not clear why AB posted them, like if he thought they were gonna make Tom look bad, but if you read them he is more than fair and quite caring and concerned about AB's batshit behavior. He seems like a good enough dude. He did like his balls deflated a little bit, so what?

The crazy thing about it is the years he has played football before he was even involved with the NFL and there is no doubt in my mind as Michael Jordan was to basketball Tom Brady is and was to football......a goat!

@kevmode
Kev. Do you ever think about the 2 girls in your pic? How have they aged? Are their titties bigger? Did they get older and thicker? Have the years been kind to them? These are the questions ai have.... I digress

Yes. Really this time. He knows now his skills have eroded sufficiently that he would just embarrass himself if he tried to continue.

Think! Think!
Now that he has and being on demand as a Sports announcer for 375,000,000 on a 10 year contract wtf I’d retire especially heading to his mid 40’s why not?
…. his record stands and will someday be a Hall of Fame too
