OVER 34 (-110). Low total hopefully go Over!
Iowa 0-3 and Rutgers 1-2 over/under.
Weather is absolutely perfect for football tonight in NJ....sold out stadium....Rutgers is confident can win. Strong D and Dline that plays well against the run...secondary avg on its best day...Iowa passing game functional on its best day....PILLLOW FIGHT! The two best punters in the country. Two conservative coaches. I like Schiano as a college coach quite a bit. The intensity he brings can be a diff maker. at times he reminds me of Fitz.
-Iowa Leshon Williams is back and full go. Was not injured was out last week for family bereavement
-I still expect to see true freshman Kaleb Johnson quite a bit and his role should increase as season goes and as I've said before he will be full time starter by seasons end. Diff maker and unlike williams x2 can accelerate off a broken tackle at a speed that allows him to break free. What really makes the diff though is Johnson is outstanding in pass pro and with Iowa Oline (young, talented, still learning) that matters
-Johnson still out, bostick still out, vines still out
-Best WR on the team however is back and this is his home turf! Ragaini will rock tonight in front of 80 friends and family coming to the game. Kid is tough as nails and playing through pain...really opens up the middle of field and the underneath routes for both the TE and him...free's up Bruce as well
-Key could be the development of Brody Brecht....6'4 220 WR with speed and quickness...He is also a potential 1st rd draft pick MLB and throws a 100 mph heater...only has had 6 weeks of pracitice due to baseball and an injury...coming on in practice and spent much time this week working in the intricacies of the deep ball and catching over your shoulder...something to pay attention to today with Rutgers secondary....normally Iowa tightens up it's butthole on the road in a tough environment tighter than a nuns you know what however see Maryland game last year...for some reason feels similar tonight
-Jestin Jacobs might play...Hope he doesn't actually...hamstring don't rush him back....
-I mentioned Cooper Dejean last week and week prior...kid is legit and will play in the league eventually...see last weeks diff making plays
-Elsbury will start at G for Iowa-upgrade this is an upgrade.
All in all should be the weeks most boring game! If you like punting and mind boggling poor QB play on both side of the ball then this is the game for you!
Actually if you like and appreciate tough, sound fundamental kick your ass defense then this is the game for you. Personally I fucking love it!
Have no recommendation on the game as Rutgers Vedral could shock and play and i suppose gun to head gotta keep rolling on the under until you don't. That don's is tonight...Over for me.

Rereading what I wrote shaking my head. Cooper Dejean best pick 6 of the year. Kid is an amazing athlete, Jacobs got rushed back got hurt again and is likely out for the year (DUMB!!!) That being said with him out Dejean never leaves the field and moves to cash or LB...Castro comes in and is another playmker (massive hitter who will make mistakes deep) caused the Fumble return for Td last night. Those two on the field at the same time adds speed and quickness yet hurts our back 7 slightly in pass d...I haven't seen meatchicken play yet this year-could be something to watch.
-Iowa Oline coming together as predicted and elsbury makes a big diff...
-Didnt hit the Wr at all last night yet the TE have finally opened up with Johnson and Ragaini back. They cant just shove 10 in the box...I do expect Michigan to do that however
-Tory Taylor is amazing
-Iowa new Freshman PK is tits
-Crazy good defense and I would imagine Simon has had better mornings...that kid got crushed over and over and over---kudos to him he stuck in the pocket and made some tough throws.....
-Iowa Over comes in
