What happens when you put 20 Formula 1 cars on the city streets of Miami? It's time to find out.

F1 is gearing up for its inaugural Miami Grand Prix, taking place tomorrow at the Miami International Autodrome, a temporary circuit set up around Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins.

While Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen are tied atop the F1 World Drivers' Championship odds board, it was Verstappen who took the checkered flag at the Imola GP in a dominant Red Bull weekend and he's favored to do so once again in Miami — and our Miami Grand Prix picks agree ahead of the big race.

Miami Grand Prix favorites

Charles Leclerc (-140)

Charles Leclerc and Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz successfully locked down a 1-2 pole position ahead of Sunday's race.

Can Leclerc recapture that early-season pace and bounce back on American soil?

Max Verstappen (+165)

It's been a bit of a roller coaster for the defending F1 World Drivers' Champion thus far, but the reliability issues that held Verstappen back in the season's early going seem to be in the rearview.

Verstappen won the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in the previous race weekend after securing pole in both Friday's qualifying as well as in Saturday's sprint race. Can he go back-to-back and continue closing the gap between him and Charles Leclerc atop the Drivers' Championship standings?

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Sergio Perez +1,400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $1,400 if Perez wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Lewis Hamilton -175

This means that you would need to bet $175 to win $100 on Hamilton winning the race.
