Lots of teams score 100 or more this year than in the past?
Yes,it does happen a lot the first couple weeks where many play some division 2 or 3 teams .Last year had at least 40 games it happened in first couple weeks and seems more than that this year. I guess offensive output is a high priority nowadays.

it has a lot to do with bigger schools playing smaller schools, these teams laying big numbers have been covering, and when your a big school and you get ahead by 30+ or more with 10-12 mins to go it gives the coach a chance to put younger non starters in to see what he has, and then those kids will want to score and get their points, can't blame them...I think its smart, saves on possible injuries and again a coach can see how these younger guys will perform,

I went back and in the first 9 days there has been 146 teams score 100+. Just for some info,3 teams scored 100+ and still lost. Some wild stats from day 1, cal-full and cal tech took 222 shots between the 2 of them. I think that works out to a shot every 10.81 sec. I think I would get dizzy watching the back and forth.
